Hello - I'm Lotti of Lotti Brown Designs...

I'm an artist who fell in love with my Cricut cutting machine!

And now I design SVG files to use with a Cricut or other cutting machine, such as a Silhouette, ScanNCut, etc.

I love to create beautiful things and I love to help you create beautiful things too...

So that you can soothe your soul with creativity!

I live in a little Yorkshire village​ with my husband and my gorgeous but incredibly-cheeky rough collie, Noah.

I started my drawing career quite technically and spent a decade drawing maps and plans - and then started working from home in 2008 as an interior and garden designer after a career change due to a long spell of illness with ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).

From there, I started textile and surface pattern design, transitioning through artworks and designs and then that's when I got a Cricut Maker and started learning about papercutting...

I fell in love with it all - I took courses to learn how to create SVG designs professionally and decided to start specializing in my own range of hand-crafted SVG cut files for papercutting and other crafts.

I create my SVG files by taking my pen and paper drawings and converting them to a cutting-friendly format using Adobe Illustrator.

• I want to make sure that the cutting lines are smooth and even.

• I check that cut-outs are large enough to cut decently...

• And that small details aren't too thin and delicate.

• For designs with text, I will carefully choose a font to suit the design and adapt the text so that it cuts properly.

• I make sure any layers work as intended and look good!

After I've created the design, I always cut it out on my Cricut Maker machine, usually in card or paper, just to make sure it cuts well with no apparent faults or difficulties...

So that you can be sure you're getting a design that's well-created and works well for your project.
